I don't know what the statute of limitations is on previous versions, so I'll suggest an easy way to do this. Assuming you have identical userids and authorities on both boxes, just create a DDM file (CRTDDMF) on the destination box pointing to the source file on the source box. then create the appropriate source file on the destination box, and enter this command for each source file you need to copy. CPYF FROMFILE(ddmfile) TOFILE(destlib/destsrcf) FROMMBR(*ALL) TOMBR (*FROMMBR) MBROPT(*REPLACE) delete and re-create the ddm file over the next source file to copy and repeat. this way, you don't have to worry about saving to different OS versions. Rick --------------------------------- We want to move source files from a V5R1M0 box to a V3R7M0 box. We have a SDLC connection so we can pass through. How can we get the source files from the new operating system box to the old operating system box? Can we FTP, if so what setup has to be done? Should we use SNADS, if so what setup is needed? TIA, Bob
