There's a job notification exit point called QIBM_QWT_JOBNOTIFY. You actually define it over a subsystem. You also tell it a data queue. This DTAQ gets an entry every time the program goes on a job queue, start, or ends, according to what you've set the exit point for.

Look in the API Finder for QIBM_QWT_JOBNOTIFY in InfoCenter.

I am looking for a way to count how many times a program is called by a) a
job and b) system wide.

I had hoped that job accounting or audit journals would tell me what
programs a job was calling and I could then summarize the journal entries to
determine what I am looking for. Unfortunately, I can't find any details on
programs starting or ending.

I don't want to be running a full performance data trace on the system.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
