At my own joke!

Actually, I was __mostly__ having fun. I really like REXX. Using it as a command processing program is cool..However, if evoking it with STRREXPRC, it may not be the best choice for repetitive actions - it IS interpreted and the STRREXPRC is a dynamic call - like good ol' OPM.

Buck's code could be called directly as a CPP for a command with no parameters, or have things like file name, etc. Parsing parameters in REXX is very easy.

The bit about maintainability comes from experience in a previous job - new stuff is added to the mix with much caution, but if you get the OK - or can give the OK - give it a try - it IS very cool.

And, to speak to Adam's use of net.data (which I also think is tres cool), there is a REXX environment for net.data, so it can be directly evoked from there.

Knowing Vern, he's being a tad funny here.  ReXX is both fun and easy to
use, and is quite a reasonable fit for this scenario.  Put this source in a
source file (I use the ever-imaginative QREXSRC) and process it with the
STRREXPRC command:
