Tim, an array of data structures wouldn't be useful for this situation. 
Ordinary arrays are what you need anyway.

You don't even need overlay arrays unless you want to have your output
sorted.  (If you do want your output sorted, have both arrays overlay
another array, initialize the description part to x'ff', and then do a
sorta on the description part at the end.)
