Hi Scott, I had a look at this possibility a few years ago (at v4r3 as I recall) ... and not with any success I'm afraid. I found a utility to selectively clear the garbage out of QSYSOPR, but not QHST. I agree with you that a large number of entries in QHST are very often a waste of disk space. If you are listening IBM, what would be really nice is a new attribute on a messge enabling selective suppression of such entries ... then I woke up and I'd been dreaming. An alternative would be a change to the DSPLOG command that enabled selection/exclusion on the message severity - it would then be possible to suppress the display of all messages of, for example, less than severity 10. The "wasted disk space" issue is, I'm sure a no brainer; regular housekeeping of the history log files will minimise the waste on most systems.
