Yes, your code does work for me too. This is odd. Mind you, my code also
seems to run fine but manages to destroy some storage in other field
declarations. That is how I found the problem in the first place. You
programs do not seem to do that. It might be that the problem is somewhat
deeper: in the C program that i am calling from within this program.

The command definition KEYVALLEN DEC/4 yields a decimal data error in your
CPP on my machine. Apart from that, your code seems to word just okay. I
tried the last example you have supplied since that was the idea.

Okay, back to the keyingboard and i swallow my last remarks about the
iseries being incompetent (for now) :-D
