Hi Jim

STRQMQRY is an easy route to take for this, as it supports output to
screen, print or file. If you want a bit more flexibility in the SQL (ie
it's generated at run time) you can use substitution variables in the
query and pass them as parms. Have a look at my EXCSQL tool for a shell
around STRQMQRY that lets you run any ad-hoc SQL -
