<snip> I hope the LAN console works better because that is the way I am leaning. </snip> That is the direction I am sending all of my clients. The LAN console is far more stable than Ops Console mainly due to the lack of serial communications in WinDOHs. WinDOHs serial communications is where 99% of the Ops Console problems are. LAN console uses the far more robust TCP/IP stack on the LAN interface and rarely fails as the result. There are other great benefits to LAN console as well, such as having an honest console at home on my lap, watching the game on HD TV, while doing the OS upgrade etc. Also does not require VNC or other software.(Some LAN/WAN setup required to route things properly) PS: Come to COMMON in May and find out about all the real cool stuff in Linux and OS/400 V5R3! There's lots there! The LAN console fits right in with the Linux stuff. Jim Oberholtzer Senior Solutions Architect Computech Resources, Inc.
