How up-to-date do they need it? Wouldn't just up-to-date enough so that no record format checks appear? A large percentage of shops use a development machine. A large percentage of these do not have data that is current. Most are days, weeks, months behind. Although I suppose you could have a second save go to save file, and ftp that using the virtual lan on the iSeries over to the other one and restore that on a nightly basis. So I thought I'd throw the request out there. We're looking at implementing Softlanding's Turnover CMS in a separate development LPAR. Note that we don't currently have a CMS. A significant amount of our development is driven by EDI. So I'm wondering if anybody has any hints/tips/tricks for integrating Gentran into Turnover. In particular, the EDI guys are worried about having to manually try to keep the EDI data on the development side up to date in order to be able to do their RPG development there.
