Re: SQL 22007

There may be some truth to this being an OS error.  I am on the phone 
right now because, even the sample from the SQL reference book is 
croaking:
SELECT DATE('1988-12-25')
    FROM SYSIBM/SYSDUMMY1

...
MCH5003-Message . . . . :   Scalar operand contains a value that is not 
valid. 
Cause . . . . . :   The length of the invalid scalar operand is 7.  The 
bit
  offset to the invalid field is X'0003'. The operand number is 2.  The 
  invalid data is X'00000380000000'.
