we use formserver/400 (or i guess it's called electroform now)

we mostly use it to print checks, but we've got several different orgs,
meaning many divirgent spool files, different check designs (some are
8.5x11, some are folder/sealer 8.5x14) different banks, etc.

all are sorted, reformatted and sized based on content (after spooling) and
merged into a single spool file, and printed via 1 job - pretty slick.

as far as the rest of your questions, I don't know, but you can check thier
website.
