Oliver, This could probably be accomplished through the use of exit programs. Check out the QIBM_QZDA_SQL2 (Database server - SQL access) exit point. One of the pieces of information that gets passed to your exit program is Package Name. This contains the name of the PC program that is attempting to access your data. I use this information to restrict users access from certain programs, but you should also be able issue a chgjob command based on the package name. HTH, Todd Kidwell (Netstar) AS/400 System Administrator (313) 224-0578 >>> <oliver.wenzel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> 01/29/04 04:09AM >>> Hi, is there a possibility to make priority of QZDASOINIT jobs user dependent? We have several servers accessing our AS/400 through ODBC, these should run with a higher priority than a user job (lets say Excel download).
