Cause is there is not enough authority being given to the batch job to
access the file. Make the owner of the program object a user profile
with the proper authority to the file. Then change the user profile
parameter on the program (CHGPGM) to *OWNER. This will get you past
your error.

Subject: Losing Authority to a file in Batch

I think I've seen this before but I can't remember what the solution is.

I have a program that is accessing a file for input only. When the
program is run interactively it works fine, but when it is submitted to
batch I receive errors that the user is not authorized to the file. Can
anyone tell me what causes this?
