Cause is there is not enough authority being given to the batch job to access the file. Make the owner of the program object a user profile with the proper authority to the file. Then change the user profile parameter on the program (CHGPGM) to *OWNER. This will get you past your error. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Malchow, Grizzly Sent: Friday, January 23, 2004 9:22 AM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Losing Authority to a file in Batch I think I've seen this before but I can't remember what the solution is. I have a program that is accessing a file for input only. When the program is run interactively it works fine, but when it is submitted to batch I receive errors that the user is not authorized to the file. Can anyone tell me what causes this? _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
