Al, According to the logs, the culprit was a clroutq. The assumption made was apparently, that whatever was in outqs not starting with "Q" were not required. I am not sure how sombody could make this assumption. The PM also says that he assumed that people would know not to blow things away without a backup. Thanks for all the answers. I am cutting and pasting all the answers into a document and sending it to the PM. Hopefully, something will good will come out of all this.
