I'm working with a customer who is doing some sockets
communications another company using SSL. The application
I'm using (GETURI) has worked with lots of other systems,
but this time I've run into an error I can't explain.

On the SSL Handshake, I'm getting the error:

[SSL_ERROR_BAD_PEER]
The peer system is not recognized.

On the server side their logs look like this:
----------------------------------------------
...
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:421 GMT "SSL debug: ssl_debug(3):
Sending
certificate_request handshake message..."
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:421 GMT "SSL debug: ssl_debug(3):
Sending
server_hello_done handshake message..."
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:546 GMT "SSL debug: ssl_debug(3):
Received alert
message: Alert Fatal: close notify"
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:546 GMT "SSL debug: ssl_debug(3):
SSLException
while handshaking: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: close
notify"
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:546 GMT "SSL debug: ssl_debug(3):
Shutting down SSL
layer..."
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:546 GMT "SSL debug: ssl_debug(3):
Closing
transport..."
2004 Jan 08 13:35:22:546 GMT "Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal:
close
notify"
------------------------------------------------------

I can't for the life of me find any more information on
what is causing these errors or what the errors actually
refer too.

The server is behind a firewall, and they have claimed to
successfully made requests from within their DMZ. Since
ther are logs on their server it doesn't appear to be a
firewall issue.

Any assistance would be great! Thanks!

Brad
