We have used a Best Power 18kva model since 1990 and we're now on our fourth set of batteries. The batteries may be billed as having a life of five years, but we've never gotten more than three years from a set. My advice: get new batteries and get a service contract on the UPS. The techncian should come out at least once a year and load test the batteries to be sure they're up to full strength.

Hello all,

First, I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

We just had a power outage. First one in a while. Well, the current UPS
lasted less than 2 minutes. Not acceptable. This is a Powerware Prestige
3000 model that we had purchased when we got our 720 a few years ago. I was
sure that it would protect our 810 fine. Maybe the batteries are shot. I
don't know but anyhow. What would you all recommend for an 810 with the
expansion rack?

Thanks,

Mark
