Bryan,
Have you used Windows on this PC to map a drive letter to a folder in the
IFS, specifying "Connect with a different user name"?

If so, Windows (or an application running on this PC) may be automatically
trying to access the mapped drive periodically, and if the password for the
userid that you specified when mapping the drive has been changed, it will
eventually disable the iSeries user profile, based on the system values for
QAXSGNACN and QMAXSIGN.

This has happened to me more than once.  Now, before I change my password on
the iSeries, I disconnect all mapped drives.  After I change my password, I
then map them again, specifying the userid and the new password.
