Rob,

Worse, he has a background in IT and his last two major roles were director
of world-wide ecommerce (which surprisingly enough e-commerce job titles
are disappearing off our company org charts faster than you can say try
ctl-alt-del) and then also studying best IT practices of leading IT
organizations.  He was being groomed for CTO worldwide and was dumped for
an outsider.  In these two positions he worked extensively with consultants
like AMR, Gartner, CAP-Gemini, DT, etc.

And Rob, you don't know how much I would pay to have my company even act

Did the CFO used to work for any of the accounting firms that did computer
consulting?  His old lunch cronies may be where he's getting his advice
from.  There's more to be made in consulting if you have to configure a
server farm.

But maybe that's a totally unfounded negative bias.  Our former CEO who is
now President of Group Dekko Services (let's not go there), when told that
we have a problem with this one NT server running this one function asked
"when are we migrating that to the 400?".  Gotta love it.  And he came
from one of the accounting firms.
