Oliver,

You didn't say but I'm assuming V5R2. In My Experience, Blame QDZASOINIT first, and the Apache web server second. One year ago we experienced QZDASOINIT consuming 2-4 GB/hr of temp space, hundreds (yes literally hundreds) of PTFs later, now we consume more like 2 GB/day. The only way to find it is to look at each job (WRKJOB). We also see the web server leaking some especially when lots of SQL is used.

To get the memory back the QZDASOINIT jobs need to be ended as yours apparently have although that still doesn't give back 100%, eventually an IPL is required.

At the heart of it, SQL seems always to be invlolved someplace.

Hiya,

on our 820 the wrksyssts shows a very high temp storage maximum number: 35247M. Current temp storage is at 5921M.

The 35GB would have put as close to the danger line at 90% DASD. Any chance to find out now which job has used up so
much temp storage?

Regards,

Oliver
