It's really a tribute to the architecture of the S/38 / AS/400 /
iSeries that you can take an observable program, display file, and
data file from any system in the series and restore it on a later
model-- and have it automatically reformatted to run on the later
machine. That means a program could have had a lifetime of more than
25 years, and still run on the latest and greatest hardware!
