True, however iSeries navigator shows you easily that it IS down and 
that's your problem in the first place.  And it looks so much like the 
interface to starting the remote command service on your PC.

This can also be done on green screen with STRTCPSVR SERVER(*REXEC) to
start it and CHGRXCA AUTOSTART(*YES) to have remote execution autostart.
