It's part of offline setup.

1. Turn the terminal off. Wait a few seconds.

2. Turn the terminal back on while holding the spacebar

3. Select "customize workstation."

4. F8 (forward), then F10 (additional customization)

5. Set "132 column screen" to "enable."

6. F3 (save and exit)

7. F3 (exit)

If this doesn't work, or it doesn't allow you to set "132 column screen"
to "enable," see page A-18 in the 3488 manual, or page A-17 in the 3487
manual, and try that procedure.
