I suggest that you read Chapter 5 of the Security Reference manual for some
ideas on how you can improve security checking performance. You can improve
the performance of authority checking by reducing the number of private
authorities to objects.

- Look at moving private authorities to a primary group authority and then
making users a member of the group profile that has primary group authority
to the objects.

- Remove all private authorities that are the same as the public authority
of the object. There can be a performance advantage to removing all private
authorities from an object.

- Consider placing private authorities on the library or directories that
contain your files and using just public authority and primary group
authority on the files.
