We talked to PC-Miler and with our license they allowed us to
keep a database file on the 400 of mileages.  All our programs
use the same utility to request a point-to-point mileage, if the
program doesn't have it in it's database it requests it from
PC-Miler and then adds it to the database on the 400.  It is one
huge file on the 400 but it makes mileage lookups super fast.

This does require a little setup to begin with then it has
worked great for us.
