Functionally PC-Miler does a nice job. Problem is that it does not run
native. The AS/400 version uses a PC for processing and they provide a RPG
program that you can use as an API. Technically, it's adequate but it's a
pretty old and not so secure design. It uses: SNA - I'm eliminating all
SNA traffic next year; it requires CA/400 on the desktop - ok, it's not
the end of the world but I need to have the device autostart CA/400 and
automatically logon to the AS/400, not my preference; also it does not
allow me a direct way to access databases - everything will have to go
through there interface program.
Not trying to bad mouth PC-Miler, it does a nice job. I'd much rather run
this thing natively than in some outboard function.

Our truck line uses a program call PC-Miler. We use the PC version but
there is an Iseries version.
