Been there, done that. Service packs helped in some cases. Upgrade in others. In one last case when neither helped - we laid the person off. (They teach us creative problem solving here.) Anyone ever hear the lie about the squeaky wheel getting the grease? Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." I believe the issue had something to do with the emulator. It did not cause the user to not be able to work, just gave some error messages along the way that confused the users. And we all know users don't need to be confused anymore than necessary. cjg Carl J. We are going to upgrade our 820 to V5R2 (from V5R1). Will it be sufficient to install the latest CAX service pack (for V5R1) or do I need to upgrade to iSeries Access? The server is doing some heavy ODBC stuff and we had lots of problems to get it running as it is.
