Also Bill, you can pass parameters to the query by using the Start Query Management Query command (STRQMQRY), like: STRQMQRY QMQRY(Library_Name/QRYDFN_Name) ALWQRYDFN(*YES) SETVAR((ALLOC &ALLOC) (ISSDT &ISSDT)) ... and you do not have to "touch" the query. You must do the required setup on the *QRYDEF object but it will work. This is very good, specially when you want to validate the values to be used in the query.
