We have a product, disk/HUNTER, that can point out likely suspects. It wakes up every 15 seconds as shipped (configurable) and determines how much free space is left. If that goes down a certain amount, things get interesting - your system is polled for users whose allocated space has grown, and also what objects and jobs are consuming space when the threshold has been exceeded. You can also run a command that'll focus on the growth in IFS objects.
