If I could afford their search | appliance, I'd grab it in a second. I've heard-a this, but don't know any details... What does it do (allow same Google capabilities focused on one's site?) and how much? | -----Original Message----- | [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of David Gibbs | Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2003 9:36 AM | Unfortunately, you guys (and girls) are so prolific, I would be | submitting a new URL to Google every 10 seconds or so. Seems feasible? | | Plus, submitting a URL to be indexed does not mean it will be indexed | immediately. The Google ranking mechanism is, naturally, not Open Source and is proprietary. However, there is a fair bit of info on what METADATA tags can do to improve indexing and searching. (Again, don't know details about it, m'self.) My understanding is that the more a site is referenced, the higher priority Google gives it... If so, the more folks that reference M-L through Google the better it would perform automatically.
