I do all the time, but I'm not muchuva consultant.  I'm interested in
getting a job done at least over-all cost to client, best I can.  "Least
cost" being hard to estimate, at times.

My impression is that most consultants are more interested in using a hammer
to pound in a screw (using whichever hammer they are familiar with, and the
more expensive hammer the better).

Yeah it probably does, but probably would be of interest some/most(?) a the
folks on the Tech list.
