<snip> what? whatz this???? tell us more? what are you saying here? little bombshells like this are awfully exciting!! :) </snip> The major focus of the San Antonio COMMON Conference will be Linux, not necessarily on the iSeries, but in an iSeries centric shop. Sessions are being set up so you can learn how to utilize Linux in the datacenter, as a stand alone on an xSeries, or as an LPAR on the iSeries or pSeries, to replace many of the functions relegated to an Microsoft server today. This conference will still have all the iSeries stuff you have come to expect, but will also include a focus on the business proposition and technical issues with Linux in the enterprise. Since we are just now starting to put together the map of sessions, (about 1/2 done) I would welcome topic suggestions (and speaker suggestions) for that conference. Please send to me off line unless you think the group would benefit. The speakers do not have to be iSeries literate, just open minded enough to want to run Linux on the best server in the market for it....;-) See the COMMON web site for more information.
