It might not be anything wrong, try tracing a large file transfer. On my test system all I see when I run this report is 0's. On my production (Imaging) system with 160 users I don't think I've seen the ethernet utilization above .5%, though I've seen the fax line util. at 500%. Still this jibes with what I've seen on the network monitor at the switch (<1%.) I don't know if this indicates some other bottleneck (like I/O or the disk controller) or if this is normal or just due to averaging (I run 15 min intervals.) Unfortunately, when I run this, it does not show any data, just 5 pages of headers. Selecting from a 2 hour data collection member. Am I doing something wrong? -----Original Message----- From: Ingvaldson, Scott [mailto:SIngvaldson@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2003 10:21 AM To: 'midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: RE: Measuring Line Throughput Try running a Resource Interval Report/Communications Line Detail. Go Perform --> 3 --> 5 --> Communications Line Detail This will show all of your comm lines, Line utilization, and bytes or frames transmitted and received per second. The default interval is 15 minutes but can be changed when you start the data collection.
