Scott, The US based company is paying $20+ an hour to get their systems programmed. Why doesnt the MIS directory of that US company offer that amount to a US contract programmer? granted, I am aware of the difference between what a consulting company charges compared to what they pay their contract workers. The theory of supply and demand predicts that there will be a lot of programming work available in the US at low wages. But that is not what is happening, and I dont understand it. -Steve -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+srichter=autocoder.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+srichter=autocoder.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Scott Johnson Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 12:12 PM To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' Subject: RE: Off shore outsourcing $20 is what they charge companies.
