We're using OMS & ODS from Vision, we just did a role swap (our first) last month. We have dual 825's with 5-ways activated on the front and 3-ways activated on the back. All's in sync and staying that way, with minimal maintenance. We had great vendor support from Vision! Whichever solution you select, bear in mind HA is an ongoing process. You have to keep an eye on it, you can't just say you achieved it and move on. -----Original Message----- From: Lyle.Hart@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Lyle.Hart@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2003 11:48 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: High Availability Has anybody done an implementation of one of the High Availability products recently? Most of the threads in the archives are fairly old and I was hoping for some more recent impressions. We are considering replicating some of our production boxes and have just started looking at what is available. The OMS/ODS, DataMirror and Mimix seem to have the highest profile but I have also seen offerings like *noMAX and Echo2. I am interested in what convinced people to implement one of the products over the others, pros/cons of the products, or horror/success stories.
