Convert is not exactly what I would call it...

"Most" 9406-170's came "standard" with a ethernet or Token ring 
adapter. Most that I have ever seen had the ethernet adapter.

I suspect most 170's also had a twinax controller...

You will need to setup tcp/ip communications which isn't too
tough....

All that means is that you could run ethernet(tcp) or twinax at
the same time. The biggest problem is the "console" device and
what to install. In my opinion the Ops Console is somewhere between
awful and terrible. I would use a twinax console.

You will need a hub at the 170 and ethernet adapters on each PC.

Now you have to decide what emulator(5250) you will use.
