Do a D-side manual IPL of the OS CD, then do "Install LIC and initialize
system" - that should take care of it. If you want to be extra-safe, do it
a few times. That will wipe the load source, then once you get to SST, you
can do initialize drives. You can select all non-configured units, which
will be everything but your load source which you just wiped previously.

STRSST
3 - work w/ disk units
3 - work w/ disk unit recovery
2 - disk unit problem recovery procedures
1 - initialize and format disk unit

Either that or remove all the drives and put them in a degausser.

Subject: Wiping out all data on disk drives.

Does anyone know of any program available for the 400 that will do a
security wipe of the disk drives? We are retiring our 400s and since there
may be sensitive/secret etc.. Data on the drives, the security folks want do
clear things like they do with PC's !!

Short of that any suggestions will help.
