Hi Folks,
Have our 810 in that will totally replace out 620 (i.e. new serial number, taking NO hardware from the 620 to the 810, etc.). We decided to let IBM Global Services setup the LPAR stuff. Our main software package is in one library so that is easy. I will of course have the user profiles, communications line (Ethernet), control units (Perle 494 TCP/IP), display devices, printers, outqs, etc. to setup. Is there anything obvious that I could be missing ? I've never done a complete box swap - been through a TON of system upgrades. They both have their pluses and minuses. Nice thing with this is we will have a system COMPLETELY setup while the production system rolls along :-)
Thanks !
Chuck
