Unfortunately, I know. There were lots of other IT guys in my program. Sample conversation: Other Student: So what do you guys run on? Me: We're an iSeries shop? OS: I've never heard of that. What's an iSeries? Me: The new name for the AS/400. OS: (Laughs) Why are you still running that old dinosaur? Me: It's done a pretty good job of keeping up with the times. OS: But, it's legacy. Me: It doesn't go down. OS: (Clears throat) What? Me: It doesn't go down. Ever. Unless we take it down. OS: (Looks sheepish) Uh, OK. Well, what do you run your website on? Me: Another iSeries. OS: You can't do that, can you? Me: I sure hope so, I do it every day. OS: How about mail? Me: Domino. OS: On NT or Unix? Me: On the iSeries. OS: I didn't know you could run Domino on the iSeries. How big is your staff? Me: About 20 people. 14 programmers, 5 help desk, one admin. OS: One admin? Me: One admin. OS: Hmmm.
