OK, obviously I'm the MS guy here, but let me ask a business question. Which
package best solves the _business_ needs? If there is a clear winner from
the business point of view then that is the way to go, regardless of
technology. However, if they are both the same then you get into the
technology.

As I see it, here is the basic tradeoff, a single SQLServer is _much_ less
reliable than a single iSeries, hands down, no argument. However, several
SQLServers are much less expensive than several iSeries boxes, so it's much
simpler and cheaper to throw hardware at the problem. Which is better, well
I'll admit, it's a religious argument at this point -- which is better
PowerPoint or Freelance, Exchange or Notes, Word or WordPerfect -- obvious
answer, it depends.
