PowerPoint Exchange WordPerfect -----Original Message----- From: Walden H. Which package best solves the _business_ needs? If there is a clear winner from the business point of view then that is the way to go, regardless of technology. However, if they are both the same then you get into the technology. As I see it, here is the basic tradeoff, a single SQLServer is _much_ less reliable than a single iSeries, hands down, no argument. However, several SQLServers are much less expensive than several iSeries boxes, so it's much simpler and cheaper to throw hardware at the problem. Which is better, well I'll admit, it's a religious argument at this point -- which is better PowerPoint or Freelance, Exchange or Notes, Word or WordPerfect -- obvious answer, it depends. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 (208) 692-3308 eFax WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur.
