yes you are right, but that will then kill any chance of doing streaming
audio/video.

I use zonealarm too - and I manually say 'no' to any effort to contact the
mothership, UNLESS i'm trying to view/listen to anything streaming.  It
only asks once the first time you run MedPlayer, and you have to say yes if
you want streaming.  Once you say yes (even if you say no to 'remember
this'), that setting holds until you reboot.  :(
