Hi everybody, Today we got a message to QSYSOPR about a job running PM400. PM400 had received CPF1038 message. Nothing strange about that, except for the fact that message tells:

Message: No authority to use command.
Cause : The user does not have the authority to the STRSBS,ENDSBS,ENDSYS, or PWRDWNSYS command. Recovery . . . : Get job control authority from the security officer. Then try the request again.

PM400 has been running withou problems for many months. We're running V4R5.

Just to mame sure, I checked (EDTOBJAUT) the authorities for all commands mentioned in the "cause" text above.

STRSBS, ENDSBS, ENDSYS have Public(*USE) authorities.
PWRDWNSYS has Public(*EXCLUDE)

So, my guess goes for PWRDWNSYS.

Any one can think of why PM400 would ever try to do a PWRDWNSYS on its own?
Joblog only shows (sorry for the misalignement)
