Perhaps that's the reason it's trying to get authority to an object called BLANK is that you're specifying that as the user space name? I don't know this for certain, I've never used this API. But, the doccs (link below) seem to suggest using *NONE http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/apis/qlpcdrst.htm On Tue, 22 Jul 2003, John Allen wrote: > > I am not requesting any information back from the API so I do not specify a > User Space name, so there is nothing for me to grant authority to for the > last three correct? > > >Message . . . . : Not authorized to object in QSYS. > >Cause . . . . . : You do not have the correct authority for object in > > library QSYS type *SPACE. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
