Aren't you supposed to specify *NONE as the user space name when you don't
want info returned in the space?   Perhaps that's the reason it's trying
to get authority to an object called BLANK is that you're specifying that
as the user space name?

I don't know this for certain, I've never used this API.  But, the doccs
(link below) seem to suggest using *NONE
