I've come from a company that has seperate test and production systems to a company that has it all on one machine. Having experienced both environments I can say that I do miss the freedom of not having to worry about screwing up a production environment when testing or installing an upgrade. There's plenty of other ways to do that. ;) Being on a single system I do think that I've gotten a bit more careful in planning and double-checking things before jumping in to testing. How many of you all also combine both on one machine, and has this caused performance problems for you? Or do you use a test machine for development specifically because of this (or wish you had one)? _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
