The default setting for system value QCCSID (Coded character set identifier) on our system is: 65535 I've been discovering that for a lot of SQL related things we do, this value needs to be changed to 37. For example, I couldn't insert a control record into the QAQQINI file until I changed the CCSID for my user profile from *SYSVAL to 37... What would be the implication of just setting the QCCSID system value to 37? Is this value related to the default language setting for the system? Ours is ENU (2924) ...
