Have you tried STRSRVJOB?  This command puts another job (even another
interactive job, I think!) in "service mode" to your job.  Now, if you enter
a debug command, it will attempt to debug the program in the serviced job.
It's very cool and an absolute lifesaver.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the remote debugger, which I
believe makes use of these capabilities, only from a workstation.
