That's an excellent suggestion, Don. That would work for pretty much all cases, except where either the vendor or IBM hardcoded the library. IBM has been doing this more in recent releases, qualifying the command like so: QSYS/WRKSPLF. However, most people don't do that, and so the library list scheme should work fine. You have to use the CHGSYSLIBL command to do this, however, so it would have to be a startup step not just a job description, but it could be done. With PSC/400, you could add it in as part of the runtime startup exit program (a unique feature of PSC/400 is its exit programs which allow you to tailor security and environmental parameters dynamically).
