The quick answer is no, you are not FORCED to change the DDS, and therefore not FORCED to recompile the RPG. The right answer is that if your code depends on unsupported DDS keywords in order to function properly, you will change the DDS and RPG to get that functionality another way, or change the application so it works differently (without those keywords.) I converted thousands of DDS members and never once compiled a single RPG program. My code base was OK with that, but who guarantee tell if yours is? --buck
