What's the difference between that and Server Side Includes?

Jim,

There is another product that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread:
FreeStyle-400.

There is no 5250 data stream involvement. DSPFs are replaced by HTML
(developed with your editor of preference). Instead of EXFMTs, you use
CALLs to FreeStyle-400 procedures passing substitution variables.

Since there is no direct dependency between the rpg program and the
HTML screen, a Web designer can work on the HTML code while an rpg
programmer is writing the business logic to drive it. Also, unless there
is a change in the substitution variables structure, modifications to
the HTML layout don't require recompiling the rpg.

At our shop we liked this approach and are considering purchasing the
product.

You can find more details on their web site at www.curbstone.com
