Almost a half-century ago, Building 25 on IBM's sprawling campus in South San Jose was the embodiment of high-tech progress -- an airy, sunlit office that was the home for some of the corporation's most innovative researchers. Today, progress is knocking on the door of Building 25 again, this time in the guise of a bulldozer.
